Service Learning Project: HELPING HANDS
MISSION: To provide much needed hygiene products to the homeless day shelter for women and children and transitional housing for women.
Sojourner Truth House is a ministry of hope and help for homeless and at-risk women and their children sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. Through hospitality, advocacy, integrative services and collaboration, participants improve their quality of life and that of the community in a safe, trusting environment.
More than six boxes filled to the top were collected by the JROTC Cougar Battalion and taken to the Sojourner Truth House. Thanks to the Awesome West Side Leadership Academy High School Family.
The Cadets called it:
