Gary Community School Corporation is proud to partner with City Connects, a student support model that connects children and families to academic, behavioral, and community-based resources to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive.
City Connects Coordinators work directly with students, families, and school teams to identify strengths, remove barriers to learning, and provide individualized supports. We currently have City Connects Coordinators serving students at:
Beveridge Elementary
McCullough Academy
Williams Elementary
Gary Middle School
Bailly STEM Academy
Recently, in partnership with City Connects leadership, our coordinators assembled 180 Family SEL Toolkits that will be distributed to families they serve. These toolkits include practical tools designed to support communication, emotional regulation, and connection at home—extending student support beyond the school day.
This initiative reflects our shared commitment to strengthening family–school partnerships and supporting the whole child. We are grateful for the collaboration and investment that made this project possible.
