Our Pre-K program is a vibrant, engaging space where young learners actively participate in a rich spectrum of educational experiences
Our school garden serves as a living classroom, allowing children to explore nature and learn about the life cycle of plants, environmental responsibility, and the importance of healthy eating. It’s an opportunity for hands-on discovery and sensory development that cultivates curiosity and respect for the world around them.
Learning circles form an integral part of our program, promoting social interaction, team spirit, and collaborative learning. They provide a platform for children to share ideas, listen to each other, develop empathy, and improve their communication skills.
Our family collaboration events are designed to foster a strong home-school connection. We believe in working together with families to support the child’s learning journey. These events allow parents to be part of their child’s educational experience, strengthening the bond between the child, family, and school.
Finally, our robust curriculum is designed to prepare our students for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on developing their literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and socio-emotional skills, ensuring they are well-equipped for the next stage in their learning journey.

Welcome to our vibrant Pre-K program within the Gary Community School Corporation! I am thrilled to serve as the principal and to work alongside our dedicated faculty in providing your child with a nurturing, enriching educational experience.
At Bethune, we believe that early childhood is a critical period for social, emotional, and cognitive development. That's why our curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning through hands-on exploration, creative play, and meaningful interactions.
