Principal's Message
As we enter into a new year, I wanted to extend my excitement about the journey ahead at Daniel Hale Williams School. As we embark on another successful school year, I am eager to share with you our vision of promoting literacy and a passion for reading, strengthening our focus on STEM education, and building a culture and community that is centered around elevating all "SHIPS": Relationships, Ownership, Leadership, and Scholarship.
Over the past few years, we have witnessed a significant shift in how we approach education. It has become increasingly clear that by working together, we can achieve more and create a more enriching learning experience for our scholars. Our collective efforts have taught us valuable lessons about the power of effective relationship-building and the importance of engaging all stakeholders in the learning process—especially our PARENTS.
I am supremely excited about the ways in which we will leverage our culture and climate to lift all "SHIPS" at Williams. We have the tools, resources, and talent within our school to create a learning environment that is not only engaging and supportive, but also rigorous and challenging. By embracing these ideals, we are setting the stage for a healthy and prosperous year for the entire Williams School Community.
