GCSC ensures that all food items are maintained at the proper temperatures up to the time that they are handed to the families. We ask that families store food immediately after receiving the food items to ensure food safety.
Sodexo Company Standards / Guidelines:
▪ Refrigeration equipment temperature of 40ºF (4ºC) or below and freezer equipment temperature of 0ºF (-18ºC) must be maintained during stable times. Frequent opening and closing of refrigeration and freezer doors during production may cause the ambient air to rise. The temperature must be checked at least once each day, during times when it has had an opportunity to stabilize, i.e., at opening of the operation.
▪ If an equipment thermometer is not working and cannot be repaired, it must be covered up or otherwise clearly marked as non-working. An accurate thermometer must then be placed inside the equipment. Some Health Agencies require thermometers inside the equipment at all times.
